Nice vid. Do people in this day and age of tablets still use netbooks
though?

@TheSuperMinimo This video is from 2008 though.

this video is very misleading even for the date it was filmed, my first pc
was a 1.8 ghz pentium 4 desktop with an ati 9250 graphics card, and when I
changed that desktop for my acer aspire one guess which one had more power?
the acer aspire one, with Windows vista Ultimate, yes ultimate, I installed
it myself from an USB stick(and windows 7 too, but that was later)I used to
play some pre 2004 games, and with the notable exception of resident evil
4, it ran fantastic in my non-game capable “netbook”

lowridercrxапреля 4, 2014 at 18:24

in my opinion netbook is fantastic, really i am running on one aptly now. it
covers 90% of work to be done on pc, you need to get used to it, but its
laptop, you can carry around with you. not like those huge notebooks, which
you have to have break case or backpack. MOST IMPORTANTLY at this second
it consumes only 19watts of electricity.

fatamorianапреля 4, 2014 at 19:01

Would the netbook be able to play videos that require adobe flashplayer 10?
For example certain websites such as to watch tv shows etc…

locotula2011апреля 4, 2014 at 19:06

alicemuffinsапреля 4, 2014 at 19:34

tbh.. i just call them both laptops

dasdew2апреля 4, 2014 at 20:28

I can get a external drive terabit of memory for $100,External cd drive for
$20-60,external keyboard for $20-200, and a number of additional things. I don’t
have a camera, many friends,a pet type of music(I usually just listen
to it on YouTube anyway) and i use the internet for entertainment. I’m
vacant to attending a community college so can I use a net-book w/ mods for
everything I need or should I just get a notebook?

maccollectorZапреля 5, 2014 at 0:36

You don’t need that excellent of a computer to play Diablo. It’s not that
graphic intensive.

MegaTutorial101апреля 5, 2014 at 1:04

@23piz23mitch Ok…. Thanks…..

Vangstazапреля 5, 2014 at 1:27

I’m not that stupid to compare the prices. Using price as a rank to
determine if something is excellent is for complete amateurs.

netbooks are still fantastic for what they’re meant for web-centric computing.
I got an ipad a minute back and to me the thing is cool but it’s a novelty
and not something matter-of-fact. My acer aspire one with 1.66 ghz, 1gb ram and
a 160 gb hdd still works fantastic and I still use it a lot when I’m really on
the go or when I want to watch a few youtube videos or check my email
before I go to bed, and yes I have a laptop but it’s still not as portable
as a netbook.
